Becoming a renovator is within your reach, and so much of what you do to make this a reality comes down to more than just believing – though it’s a great start.
Who you follow and have around you can add or detract from your mindset. It’s easy to be carried away by the perfect Instagram renovation, showcased by beautiful people that do the bare minimum.
The truth is a lot of what you see is carefully edited and created with huge budgets by sponsors. As much as the results capture the imagination, you are best served by starting from a real place, with like-minded, everyday people you can share your journey with.
We all have goals we are working towards, yet be in different stages with renovating. We may have invested or renovated before, starting from the beginning.
A culture of encouragement and success isn’t always found in a group or environment where the results are way beyond your initial budget, not achievable, or where you feel small.
Being around people who have succeeded in renovating but have started from a similar place to you will keep you determined to stay on course. Having a community that shares the light and shade of the journey is not about upholding an image; it’s about the reality of the ups and downs and not hiding them.
Listening to real people and getting insights is an ideal place to start.
Listening to real people and getting insights is an ideal place to start. Our podcast will introduce you to some ordinary yet unique people.
Cindy and Kirstin, two of our students, started from very different circumstances. Cindy had challenges with her health, so she and her husband decided to become renovators, which gave them a significant income. This ended up being an uplifting and healing experience for both of them.
Kirstin showed so much determination to save up a deposit, she bought what she could afford, moved into, and renovated the property. As the market has moved, she has been able to add even more value and continues to renovate. She has mastered budget renovation!
Our students do these renovations; they are no different to you or too high-end or lofty. They know how to add value, increase profit margins and get significant results. So can you!
