By completing the registration to become a user of the directory at Renovate and Real Estate, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions described below:
Renovate and Real Estate is owned by RARE Consultancy Collective Pty Ltd and referred to as ‘RARE’ in this document. A visitor is referred to as ‘you’ or ‘the user’.
From time to time RARE will generate emails to registered users or website users and they are considered a part of the RARE website. Should you no longer wish to receive our emails you may click on the unsubscribe link located in each email received, or you may contact us at info@rareteam.com.au
Hyperlinks and other redirection tools may take the user to external sites operated by third parties and you acknowledge that these websites are not controlled by RARE, they do not form part of the RARE website and that you will not hold RARE liable or in any way accountable for anything that occurs on external sites.
Information, opinions and content published on the website and Facebook groups are provided for information purposes only and are not intended as legal, financial, taxation, technical or expert advice or to be in any way relied upon by you without undertaking your own independent verification. No warranty or representation is made as to the accuracy or authenticity of the content of the website provided by RARE, their employees or users.
RARE and its directors, agents, employees do not accept and are released by you of any liability to you arising (whether directly or indirectly) out of the
information provided on the website or anyone else through the website or any errors in, or omissions from information on the website.
Engaging the Services of Masters, Experts and Renovators
RARE does not make any representation or warranty that any user is reputable, or will act in good faith, or according to their terms of engagement; or that renovations will run smoothly and without issue. Also, that any information on the website will be complete, reliable or accurate or your access to the website will be secure, available at all times or uninterrupted.
RARE disclaims and will not be liable for loss arising out of (whether directly or indirectly) any action or decision by you in reliance on the information on or provided to you through the website or by any business you chose to engage the services of via the website. You should conduct due diligence, seek legal and/or other professional advice before acting upon engaging the services of a person or business who’s details are available on the website. RARE does not stand behind, recommend or guarantee the services of any business or person listed on the website and simply acts as an introductory platform.
Disclaimer
As with any business arrangement, both parties are responsible for conducting proper due diligence background checks and acting responsibly within the law.
RARE is not involved in the actual transaction between users (renovators) and customers (clients) who contract their services after first being introduced via the website. We cannot censure and do not guarantee that a user or customer will actually complete a transaction or act lawfully in using the website. We have no control over the quality, safety or legality of services offered by users (renovators) or the conduct of customers (clients).
Any Joint Venture agreements are between the parties concerned, their independent advisors and completely outside the scope of RARE and therefore not the responsibility of RARE.
RARE cannot and does not confirm each user and customers purported identity.
RARE
User Indemnity
As a user of the website or services found via the website, you indemnify RARE for any loss or damage or costs arising (whether directly or indirectly) out of any breach of the Terms and Conditions or any other legal obligation by you or your use of or conduct on the website.
In the event that you have a dispute with one or more users of the website, you release RARE (and our directors, agents, contractors, affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, and employees from claims, demands and damages of every kind and nature arising (whether directly or indirectly) out of such a dispute.
Any emails and notices from RARE do not represent any guarantee or endorsement of your transactions. You are responsible for completing all transactions in which you participate (including monitoring the status of, and complying with all relevant legal and other obligations). We do not control, endorse or approve the services provided by the users of the website. You acknowledge and release RARE in the event that you deal with underage persons, unlicensed persons, or people acting under false pretense.
Website Access
To become a member of the RARE directory, you will nominate a username and password. Your username must be a valid email address. One username per user only.
You are entirely responsible for all activities that occur under your username and password. You must ensure that they remain confidential at all times.
You must notify RARE immediately by email if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your login credentials (username and password)
Recordings
RARE reserves the right to record phone calls between you and RARE employees or RARE agents for training purposes

Personal Information and Cookies
RARE stores the personal information of users securely. This information comes from the registration process of users and customers. Any payment information (credit card detail) is stored security with our third party provider.
It also uses cookies to improve services, user experiences and to collect date for advertising purposes. From time to time we will communicate with you by email, SMS message or telephone and provide you with ongoing information about opportunities on the website that RARE believes you may be interested in. We will not disclose your information without your pre-approval.
You can disable cookies through your internet browser.
License to use Information
Users agree to grant us non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, fee-free right to use any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio submitted to the website or associated social media pages.
You agree that RARE can use that content in any way, now and in the future including for the promotion of RARE
Membership Fees
You will be charged your annual fee automatically unless you have notified us by emailing support@rareteam.com.au at least 10 days prior to your renewal date. You will receive a reminder email 14 days prior to auto renewal.
We encourage you to set up direct debit payments for members (users) fees for renovators. If you do not pay monies owed by the date the payment is due, we will notify you and request immediate payment. If you fail to pay the overdue amount within a reasonable time as set out in the notice, we may”
- Suspend, cancel or limit your access to the website
- Engage a debt collection agent to recover overdue funds and you must
reimburse us any reasonable costs that we incur in pursuing the payment
of amounts you owe us.
And/Or on-sell any unpaid amounts to a third party.
And/Or disclose the default to a credit reporting agency.
Breaching the Terms and Conditions
RARE may at our sole discretion, immediately issue and warning, temporarily suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide services to you if:
You breach the Terms and Conditions, personal information and privacy policy.
We are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us, or
You act outside of the housekeeping rules on any of our Social media sites
Or we believe that your actions may cause legal liability to you, to RARE, to other members of RARE, and to customers.
User and Customer Support

The team at RARE will endeavor to answer your enquiry within 24 hours and escalate serious matters to management for resolution if required.
We reserve the right not to respond to customer enquiries that offend our employees or agents.
We reserve the right not to respond to enquiries made by individuals who, in our opinion, are not current users of the website, or have been suspended from using the website, or who are acting in an obnoxious manner.
Suspension and Termination of User Accounts (renovators)
The RARE team will suspend or terminate a user without notice and for any length of time, for any breach of the Terms and Conditions and the following:
Providing false of inaccurate information during user registration, or when quoting, or to employees of RARE. As a result of RARE receiving negative feedback or complaints from customers
As a result of RARE receiving negative feedback by other users on the website or our Social media sites
Acting outside the law, or quoting for work that the user is not qualified for (example electrical, plumbing)
Membership cancellations
Users (renovators) may remove their listing or terminate their account at any time by logging into their own account via the username and password, or by contacting info@rareteam.com.au for assistance.
Any future scheduled payments will be cancelled as soon as possible, noting that the request to do so may not be received by the financial institution in time.
Therefore it is recommended that accounts be cancelled at least 5 business days before the payment due date. Any payment received by RARE as a result of late cancellation within this timeframe, will remain the property of RARE.
Refunds
If you are dissatisfied with the website or RARE services you are free to discontinue using the site. However membership fees and any other payments you have made to RARE are not refundable once you are beyond the 5 day cooling off period under Australian consumer law.
Updates to the Website
RARE may from time to time and at any time, make changes to the website, add or remove contents.
Arbitration
Any claim or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions may be settled by binding arbitration through a commercial dispute resolution centre selected by us. You agree to be bound by the ruling arbitrator of the dispute and the costs of the dispute are borne by the originator of the dispute.
Discount Codes and Promotions
RARE may at its discretion run promotions which entitle new users to discounts. Any current users who joined before the discount was offered are not applicable for the discounted rate unless stated otherwise by RARE in the promotional material.
Ethical Standards
You must not post offensive material, nude, partially nude, pornographic, sexually suggestive photos, violent, discriminator, hateful, unlawful or infringing content via. The website or associated Social media pages of RARE.
Be kind to others. You must not stalk, bully, abuse, harass, threaten, defame, impersonate or intimidate other users. Do not post private contact information of other users.
