Belinda W and I love finding inspiring photos of DIY projects and sharing them with you, especially when they are the types of photos we show our husbands (our hard-working long-suffering husbands!!!).

So, this is what happens at the Smith residence:

Belinda S, “Honey, do you think you could make this for me?”

Brett, “Not now love, until I finish the { whatever the current project he is working on }. I’ll look at it later”

Belinda S, “Okay, you have enough to do”

2 weeks later { and night after night of delicious dinners }

Belinda S, “Brett. Do you remember that photo/picture I showed you of the …..? Do you think that when we are at the hardware today, we could buy the bits and pieces to make a start on it. If you could put it together, I will do the sanding, painting and finish it off?”

Brett, “Okay, show me the photo again. Do you have a pen and paper? We’re going to need to buy…….”

And that’s it really. That’s all it takes, as it is not hard to get some DIY projects underway when you’re married to a ‘can do’ man!!!
